Sonia Kashuk: Smooth

I got a promotional tub of Sonia Kashuk's lip balm over a year ago. I've never posted about it because I don't think it ever was sold in stores, and I can't even find a picture of it online. So, we'll need to work on your imagination skills.

Close your eyes.

Wait, open them, so you can read this.

Ok, close your eyes halfway.

Envision a flat white tub of balm about the size of a silver dollar.

Think about a wide arial-style font printing the word 'smooth'.

There you go. That's Kashuk's Smooth Lip Balm. Boring, eh?

Price: It was free a year ago. Target sells her Lip Palette for $12.99. I'm going to assume the balm would cost 25% less than the colored Lip Palette. So maybe it cost about $9.75. Maybe.

Appearance: Boring.

Glide: The balm itself looks like vaseline, but it's heavier and gooey. It's a thick glide, and the remnants tend to make a really good cuticle moisturizer.

Flavor/ Smell: Absolutely none of either, which I consider a good thing. Very basic.

Lasting Power: Long, over 3 hours.

Product Plusses: SPF 15. That's about it.

Sonia Kashuk's Smooth scores a 4.00 out of 5 tubes. It's multi-functional and easy on the olfactory nerves, which scores high. It's boring packaging and lack of being able to find it takes a few marks off.
